This is a recipe for caramel apple cider and I thought since it is now becoming fall and I love having apple cider in the fall, I thought this would be perfect. It is from Family Fun and I hope you try it.
For the Cider
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 3 cups of apple cider
- 1/2 cup of water
For the Caramel Whipped Cream
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- First you bring the heavy cream and brown sugar for the cider to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat (you will need you parents help with the stove.) Stir in the water and the cider and raise the heat to a medium high, heating just until the cider begins to steam, it will take about 4 minutes.
- Now for the whipped cream. In a small chilled bowl, whip together the heavy cream and the brown sugar (the ingredients for the whipped cream.) You whip the ingredients until soft peaks from it.
- Pour the cider in the glasses (serves 4) and top with the whipped cream. ENJOY!!!!
